The Quad II power amps are a legendary piece of audio kit.There design, sound and build quality make them very sought after by collectors. However they do require a fair amount of reconditioning to bring them back to their former glory. All resistors were replaced as well as all the capacitors with Audio Note PIO's being used in the coupling stages. The original KT66 tubes remain, but a vintage Mullard GZ32 rectifier and a NOS pair of GEC EF86's in the driver stage were supplemented. The chassis was polished up with 0000 superfine steel wool.The end result is that majic Quad sound... open and airy ,a dream to listen to.
